Privacy Policy for DoodleDare

DoodleDare (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a social drawing app that lets you complete daily drawing challenges and share them with friends. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.
Information We Collect
Account information. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address (if you choose to share them) so we can create your DoodleDare profile. We do not receive or store your Apple or Google password.
Content you create. Drawings, photos you attach as backgrounds, captions, comments, ratings, and reactions you post in the app.
Social information. Your friend list, friend requests you send or receive, and the groups you belong to.
Device information. A push notification token, so we can notify you about things like friend requests or your turn in a drawing game. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
Usage information. Basic technical logs (such as timestamps of actions) needed to operate the app reliably.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
Create and maintain your account
Show your drawings to your friends (and, for public drawings, other users)
Let you connect with friends and play drawing games together
Send you notifications about activity relevant to you
Keep the app secure and working correctly
We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use your drawings or personal data for advertising.
Where Your Data Is Stored
Your data is stored using Supabase, a third-party database and infrastructure provider. Photos and drawings are stored in Supabase’s file storage. Push notifications are delivered through Apple’s Push Notification service.
Sharing With Other Users
Public drawings and your profile (username, avatar) are visible to other users of the app, and to your confirmed friends. Private drawings are visible only to you unless you choose to make them public. Drawings inside a group are visible to that group’s members.
Your Choices and Rights
You can:
Edit your profile information at any time in the app
Make any drawing private or public
Remove a friend or decline a friend request
Delete your account at any time from the app’s settings — this removes your profile and associated content from our systems

Children’s Privacy
DoodleDare is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above.
